This is a cool project that experiments with a really interesting way of displaying infographics. The project is the brainchild of Paul Marcinkowski who created the work whilst he was still a student. Cant find much written about the project but that may well be due to the fact that its pretty self explanatory - an infographic about tattoos displayed in tattoo ink. The simple ideas skilfully executed are often the best.
We love this project by Argentinian photographer Diego Gimenez. Gimenez combines his hour long commute with a love of photography by taking snaps of fellow drivers. He does not alter the images in order to maintain the natural nature of the content. The 'private' environment of a car is a very interesting and under documented space, capturing the emotions of drivers and their passengers in conjunction with the look of their vehicle is a fascinating subject matter. These photos are real life and do not hide behind any smoke or mirrors, this raw nature is what we love about them.
Just got back from New York and now understand what all the fuss is about.. that place is cool. From Soho to Brooklyn, Meat packing to Lower East the city has so much to offer. From a design point of view there was never a dull moment, everywhere you looked there was something interesting happening and all design was on point, plenty of influence to take home to Yawn HQ . Here are a few snaps i took whilst i was over there.
