On a recent Yawn work trip to Cairo, Egypt, I managed to take these photographs while traveling back and forth between the hotel and the offices everyday. This view from the backseat window was the only bit of Egypt i actually got to see resulting in the window becoming my viewfinder and restricting my subject.
If you've ever been to Egypt then you will appreciate how crazy the roads are, the Eyptian road safety leaves nothing to be desired! They drive fast honking their horn at every given opportunity while swerving in and out of traffic, quite the hair raising experience.
However, these confined circumstances and the challenge of taking photos at high speed created a new and interesting subject matter. Snapshots of Egyptians going about their everyday business combined with photos of the barren and neglected landscape led to a unique collection of photographs.
