One half of our last feature, Claire Blandy, has kindly passed on the Yawn baton to her friend and colleague Ocki Magill. First things first what a great name, second things second what a talent. Ocki studied Fashion Design Womenswear at St Martins before itchy feet got the better of her and she moved to Australia where she became Junior Art Director at MTV. Whilst working at MTV she continued to design in her spare time working on projects like the logo and branding for Gottwood festival.
When Ocki returned to England she started up design collective We Breed Unicorns
who are responsible for some really cool projects working across several mediums and producing a really strong eye catching style. Now She is a digital creative at Iris (where she met Claire) whilst also being CD at Rookie Creative . Amazingly Ocki has all of this under her belt at the ripe old age of 24. All of this vast experience in design and life in general has evidently added together to create a unique style and is apparent throughout her work, of which Yawn are big fans. Below is a selection compiled by Ocki herself. Thanks Miss Magill it is now your turn to Pass It On...

Pass It On: Claire Blandy and Elena George
Todays Pass It On showcases a project by friends of Yawn Claire Blandy and Elena George. The creative duo work at Iris Worldwide and are responsible for the brilliant thinking behind Durex's The Naked Box campaign. The aim of the campaign is to make talking about condoms less of a taboo subject amongst first timers. Like all great campaigns the premise is simple, a competition to 'dress' a 'naked' Durex box with a design straight from your imagination. The execution of their idea is spot on encouraging applicants to use tools like the vibrating pencil, the ribbed roller and of course the good old fashioned rubber to realise their design ideas. The entire feel of the campaign is brilliantly judged and encourages involvement resulting in it going global and being a great success. To check it out and have a chance at winning the £2000 prize visit the website. Congratulations to Claire and Elena. Now its your turn to Pass It On...

Pass It On: Ed Haslam
The idea behind Pass It On is to feature friends of ours and then for them to recommend our next featured creative... and so on and so on. If you know someone who is pursuing a creative path, let us know and we might run a feature. Todays feature is on former Yawn employee and all round good guy Ed Haslam left Yawn HQ last year to pursue a career as an artist. Here are his latest oil offerings, i think you'll agree he made a good decision, the mans got skills. For more info on Haslam email cw@yawncreative.com.
